Great News!

Today has presented some of the best music-related news I've heard since hearing that Alone had Songs from the Black Hole songs on it.

First of all, two of my favorite bands might be getting together to record a covers album (source). Modest Mouse, Built to Spill and Love as Laughter are in talks to do an album where each band covers the other bands' songs. I haven't listened to much Love as Laughter (although I saw them when they opened up for MM), but just MM and BTS is enough to get me excited.

Built to Spill - "The Plan" off of Keep It Like a Secret.

The other news, nothing that big. Just that My Bloody Valentine is touring again (source). Sure, all three of those dates are in the UK, but it means that the ball is actually rolling. After the other great MBV-related news, this is the perfect sign to show that things actually were going to happen. I'm just hoping that they decide to come to the United States. Preferably somewhere in or near Ohio.
